Nokia Lumia 1020 review
The coldest time of the year surprised PhoneSplurt with the possibility to try out the Lumia 1020. This monster of a camera with a phone slapped on it is a big hunk of a machine.

Nokia exploded view advert
Nokia just released this interesting commercial that features an exploded view motion graphic showcasing the camera optics in the Nokia Lumia 925. The new flagship sure is interesting, with a metal frame and a plastic (polycarbonate) back cover(1). Sounds a bit squeaky to us so far!

Trainspotting
Hello readers. We tried this app Funnel on our Windows Phone device mainly to try out the share function to Blogger which was included. Of course tagging is not supported but at least you can choose to draft the things you share. Here's how it turned out:

A few thoughts on the new iOS icons
Apple recently announced the new iOS 7 which features, among a slew of actual features that change the usability of the device, a new visual style for the graphical user interface. Rumors about this change had been floating around the internet for a while before the WWDC event took place.
Many people have praised this so-called "shift" to a flatter look in the interface, saying things such as "It was about time". This blog post by Steve Rose is safely mocking the old style and the new style with keeping his distance to both. These times certainly are uncertain so that is probably smart.

Lumia 800
The phone you see here is the Nokia Lumia 800. What have I heard about it? It's running Windows Phone 7, it's not made in Finland, there's no support for Windows Phone 8 operating system whenever that comes out. True or false, a lot of these statements had a certain tone of voice. That made PhoneSplurt very eager to find out how much fun this device actually is. None of the sources coming up with their claims really said that Lumia 800 is a bad smartphone. So maybe they're trying to hide something?
Sharing photos is fast and easy, since most parts of the operating system feature immediate share functions within them.
The biggest kick we got out of the Lumia 800 was the thing that Nokia most often does. It delivers products that are very much tied to the moment of their production, even by their looks. This phone oozes the early 2010s. This means the Lumia 800 will be able to deliver feelings of nostalgia when you find it laying around in your attic in 2022.
The Lumia 800 is however a phone manufactured by multi-national companies.
The cherry on top of it all: the 8 megapixel Carl Zeiss camera. Now what's the verdict boys?
